Such a rough week with the loss of the magnificence that is Robin Williams. A gut, soul and heart punch to be sure. Yes, he was a genius artist, but he was also a high priest -- a great leader in our midst, showing everyone, through his rare gifts of expression, what love, loving, laughter, laughing do for our well-being

I've been trying to sit down to update you for several days now, yet the river runs swiftly on everything involving STRANGER AT HOME. A good thing. An exciting occurrence. Truly, I'm lookin' at the last two weeks and I've been everywhere talking about this film, fundraising and making the movie as well -- and I've got some photos to prove it, which I'll share with you in just a moment.

As we approach August, I hope the summertime mellows have hit you in the gentlest and loveliest ways. May you be creating that necessary lower gear, recharging energy that these lazy, hazy (and hotter!) days offer us. A gift, really, as we are forced to choose our movement and actions more efficiently and deliberately -- or we deplete ourselves more quickly, right?

What a fulfilling week we've had -- and it's not over yet! Last Sunday, we launched the official "Stranger At Home" website. Here we'll continue to keep you posted about everything going on with the film. The growing list of names of ALL of our wonderful donors is posted on the website, including our now "live" donate button where we'll continue our fundraising efforts from here to eternity -- or at least until the film is made and distributed!

You have seen us to the end of our Indiegogo fundraiser for STRANGER AT HOME. You have put up with and hopefully admired our relentless asking for support throughout the past 50 days of this campaign. You have generously sent us your prayers, kind words, good vibes and hard-earned dollars -- ALL such positive energy toward a great cause. You have shared, liked, re-posted, tagged, forwarded, tweeted to others your belief in the message and mission of this film.

Exciting news to share! We got an incredibly generous offer yesterday from Charisse and Randy Kaufman with LIVES OF PROMISE. Starting today and over the next two weeks, they want to match -- dollar for dollar -- up to $5,000 -- any contribution made to our STRANGER AT HOME fundraising campaign. We are so grateful to them!

Hey, so I just found out that June is PTSD awareness month. I don't know how these things get decided, yet I'm very grateful that we've launched our fundraising campaign for STRANGER AT HOME right before Memorial Day and the start of June for all the obvious reasons.

VERY emotional Memorial Day. Veterans lost and living on everyone's minds and hearts. I say GOOD!! I say, we MUST stay in our hearts on these subjects (really, don't forget!) and then, and only then, will we create the united courage, wisdom and processes to actually become a country that takes care of their own.

I am filled with a lot of emotion as I write this.  Saying "yes" to the journey of making STRANGER AT HOME has opened up so many doors for us in the last several months -- given us access to the hearts and experiences of the most courageous people I've ever met. I can't express my gratitude enough for that.

You've heard me say it -- everything about our veterans is a hot topic right now. GOOD!! We need to be talking about them and their families all the time -- to the extent that change, progress and solutions occur. Making STRANGER AT HOME is our way of creating a dialogue about the unseen injuries of combat and war. No, we can't see these injuries, but they are very real and wreaking havoc on the lives of these people who have given us all so much.
